Over 41 years' experience delivering successful oil and gas exploration and development programmes, with many in challenging or remote operating environments.
Part of the Cairn India Executive Committee, as Director - Subsurface & New Ventures, that delivered India's newly discovered Rajasthan oil to market in 2010, via the longest continuously heated pipeline in operation*.
Co-founder and Executive Director, Exploration & Subsurface at Delonex Energy between 2012 and 2018, where in Kenya, Ethiopia and Chad, substantial and challenging geophysical and seismic surveys, and drilling operations were delivered. Substantial funding from the IFC supported the sustainable implementation of these programmes.
*The EACOP pipeline, in Uganda and Tanzania, when completed will be longer but uses technical innovations inspired by the Rajasthan pipeline.

Based in Nairobi. Over 25 years' of experience building and developing successful businesses on the African continent.
Regional Director, Africa, of Delonex Energy Ltd until its sale to CGIP in 2022 and until recently continued as consultant to CGIP in Africa.
Prior to joining Delonex, Steve was Chief Business Development Officer and a member of the Airtel Africa International Management Board leading new business opportunities and acquisitions across Africa, while also providing strategic direction and guidance on government and regulatory matters.
